Jeremy Lucas, Presentation leader-to-hand
Jeremy has demonstrated, written about and talked about the casting technique without a fly line - called leader-to-hand. It is a most sensitive and effective approach to presentation for nymphs, spiders and most particularly dry flies. It is not a technique for those beginning to fly fish but for fly fishers with casting experience and a good technical understanding of the casting process.The leader that Jeremy makes and uses is now being made available commercially by him and is available here at £12.50 a leader. An ingenious tool that has several uses. The tube does make nail knots much easier when attaching leader (and backing) to fly lines, the splice needle is the best tool to use when making needle knots to join leaders to fly lines and the small magnet is useful to have around when handling/picking flies.
